Simply Heart and Soul: Frames That Count

Time

Before going to sleep, I looked at my calendar and jotted down a note.  As I looked at the little square representing the day, I thought about the reality that I now have one less day to live in this life.  I know, it sounds pretty negative.  Truth is, I felt a little negative, at first.

But then, the Lord turned my negative thoughts.

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom”   Psalm 90:12 (KJV)

I felt reminded to live wisely, not carelessly, with the days that He does give me.  To make sure that the stuff that matters to God matters to me – my relationship with Him, my relationship with others within my circle of influence, doing what I can, with what I have, to further His Kingdom.

I am reminded of a local photographer that told his 4H’ers to try and make each frame count as they took pictures.  Each frame count…..

Let us make each frame in the calendar of our lives count for Christ.

I came by way of Mrs. T's Across My Kitchen Table. I love the thought here; I often think of how short life is, having lost my mother at a young age, and so want to "number my days" so that each one counts for eternity!
